Training Courses Overview

The following courses are all available from the Diocese of Guildford and may be booked through the online booking form

C0

E-learning. Provides a basic awareness of safeguarding in the context of the Church and Christian pastoral care.

C1

Situates safeguarding in the context of the Church and equips participants with knowledge and skills in knowing what, when and how to report concerns

C2/S1

Lay Leadership/Safer Recruitment. This helps ensure all recruitment is taken with care and all those who have a role in church are equipped to ensure all are safe. Equips parish officers to embed healthy parish safeguarding practice. Explores the roles and personal vulnerabilities of parish officers in implementing parish safeguarding procedures and responding to serious situations

Explores the scope of safer recruitment procedures in the church context for all paid staff and volunteers with children and adults.

C3/S1

Leadership with Safer Recruitment. Equips incumbents, licensed and authorised ministers to embed healthy parish safeguarding practice and respond well to safeguarding situations.

S3 DA

Examines issues relating to domestic abuse, especially for vulnerable groups and children in the context of adult abuse, and how the Church can respond well to this

Safer Ways with Social Media‚Äč

Equipping the Church to deal with the risks posed by social media, protecting ourselves and vulnerable young people.

C1 & DA Combined Training

Combined C1 and DA course ensuring that all are equipped to protect vulnerable adults and children along with dealing with domestic abuse.
